Asphalt can be repaired through use of extreme heat. This process can be used to level uneven areas, repair cracked areas, and blend together new paved areas with existing asphalt. Cold weather can be very harsh on our roads and over time repairs will be required. Infrared repair should not be considered a long term solution and we highly recommend replacement in severe cases.
The process for infrared repair works as follows.
The area that needs repair is heated to 375 degrees (or higher), and after that, the asphalt is patched just as if it were new.
The benefit of repair is quite simple.
- Much lower cost
- less downtime
- less traffic disruption
- Extremely Convenient
